First major project in industrial park

Dozens of new industrial jobs are on the way to the West Valley.

Cives Corporation, a national company that fabricates structural steel, is building a plant in El Mirage, a small northwest Valley city tucked between Glendale and Surprise.

The company plans to initially hire 50 new employees for the 56,000-square-foot plant. Eventually, the company will build more space and employ 150 people on the site.

Work has begun at the location, north of Olive Avenue between Litchfield and Dysart roads. The company hasn’t announced an opening date.
